A word of personal advise, don't call Banks. Banks is propably the best known name, with the worst product. They do a great job of marketing, and thats all ! Customer service is the worst you'll ever run into. I have a `97 Powerstroke with extensive mod's to it. I learned the hard way, nothing worse out there than Banks. I'm in a group that talk's Powerstroke's, 10,000+ people, nobody likes, or had a good experience with Gale Banks Industries.     Chris `68 350 H.O. Drop-top

From: <Cmadkin1@aol.com> Date: Wed, 28 Mar 2001 14:02:59 EST   I've got a chance to pickup a '72 full size Pontiac with a 455, 400 turbo, with 80,xxx miles for around $1,200.   Are there any special reasons to pursue this, other than it being a low miles 455? For $1200, I would say go for the drivetrain if sound, and = part out the remainder to recoup the investment. A few weeks ago I found a complete 455 =   balanced fresh 670 heads, new dished pistons, roller rockers, cam, lifters, =   manifolds(edel&offy360) etc. This person advertised it in the paper for cheap. I was the first caller and scored for a grand. Even had polished = rods and ARP bolts along with a head stud kit. (back) Subject: Re: compresion question From: <PStonebrak@aol.com> Date: Thu, 29 Mar 2001 01:17:18 EST   72 cc heads on a 455 will be over 12-1. It won't be a pump gas vehicle. = Keith Black now has dished pistons for 455 which will make it work. 13's are = nice heads but a 6X is more easily found and a lot more practical, or any 72 up =   350-400 head will work nicely.
