The 46 box is = as well (for custome wheel discs). Tires were the E70 redline wide ovals. = To Bob and the rest of the board - any thoughts on what originaly came on = this car (it has 14x6 rally II's on right now - I'm not able to tell if = they are the original set)? Thanks, Paul Beers 67 400 conv >Also, from the PHS documentation, how can you tell if what rims your car >came with? Here is my info: http://users.supernet.com/jprogers/67phs.htm = The 3 in box 45 (code 453) tells me that your car came with Rally II wheels. A 2 would indicate wire wheel covers, and an 8 would be custom wheel covers. Both are metal hubcaps. bob.cisneros@Sun.COM Find the best deals on the web at AltaVista Shopping! http://www.shopping.altavista.com

I don't = think this would change any angles, just give me something stronger to mount = them to. Is there something I'm missing? Also, where are ladder bars available for our cars? Is there any particular brand you recomend? I want to = consider all the options before I do anything. You also wrote: >Yes. Bolted to the floor pan is the stock set-up. This seems like an inherently weak design, Is this (control arms coming through the floorpan) a common occurance? If so, do you know what others have done? Just patching the floorpan and going on with life doesn't seem like it would stop this from happening again, especialy given the kind of torque a Pontiac 400 produces. (back) Subject: From: "Paul and Sarah" <psb357@altavista.com> Date: 15 Mar 2001 22:53:57 -0800 Lance, The multi leaf springs are not original for 67 FBs - all Firebirds for = this year were a single monoleaf design. The dual control arms (called = radius rods) came on all 67's with manual transmissions (except for 6 cyl = OHC with 1 bbl carb which only had one on the right side). Other models = came with one radius rod or none (auto 6 cyl 1 bbl with non performance = gears). Hope this helps. Paul Beers 67 400 conv >Subject: Rear control arms. >From: "Bad Acid" <bad-acid@pacbell.net> >Date: Wed, 14 Mar 2001 21:50:12 -0800 I have a 67 400 coupe which has rear control arms on it. It has a multi = leaf springs, so I'm not sure if this is the original setup. The left = control arm has broken through the floor pan, also the frame rail appears = to have been broken/damaged and welded up. They are attached to the floor = pan, but not attached to the frame rails, although there apears to be bolt = holes there. Are these stock? What is the concept behind how they are = supposed to function? Are they worth keeping? If I keep them, I plan to = weld a cross member into the frame to create a stronger mounting point for = them. In the long run, I may add on the rear subframe rails by Performance Suspension, = But this is more than I want to do right now. I just finished putting in a = Centerforce Dual Friction Clutch, and I want to enjoy that for a while = before I do anything major.
