Front Marker Lamps
Wraparound Front Marker Lamps. these newly styled lamps, standard on all 1968 models, provide positive side visibilty as a warning to other drivers. Each lamp has an amber bulb and clear, colorless plastic lens of wraparound design. They remain lighted whenever headlamps are on.
Rear Side Marker Lamps
Rear Side Marker Lamps. A new standard feature on all Pontiac models (exc. Grand Prix) for 1968, the rear side marker lamps, utilizing red plastic lenses, provide positive side identification at rear of car. These lamps operate on the tail lamp circuit of all models, and they remain lighted whenever the headlamps or tail lamps are on. Note: Grand Prix uses wraparound tail and stop lamps as side markers. (For complete details on marker lamp styling, see exterior styling features for the appropriate model in the Series Availability section.)

Wipers
Concealed Windshield Wipers - Standard on Le Mans, Tempest Safari and GTO. Windshield wipers are completely concealed by the upper edge of the hood, when not in use. Even when wipers are in operation, the hub and linkage remain completely concealed - only the blades in action can be seen. Optional on Tempest and Tempest Custom, the concealed (recessed) feature is   also part of the decor option. In 1968, the left wiper blade (driver's side) is articulated to cover a greater wiping area for added driving convenience. New windshield washer pump provides faster cleaning response, as it delivers washer solution before the wiper goes into action. A similar system continues as standard on Catalina, Executive, Bonneville, and Grand Prix.

Air Scoops
Dual Simulated Air Scoops - Firebird 400 and GTO. Sports-styled, widely spaced, twin raised air scoops, lend distinctive definition to these specially equipped models. The scoops on GTO are designed to appear integral with the hood. (Refer to pages A-8 and F-4 for further details.)

Fender Skirts
Rear Fender Skirts. Standard equipment on all Bonneville models (except Station Wagon) and on Grand Prix. Available at extra cost on Catalina and Executive. These skirts are specially designed to enhance the low horizontal body styling by extending the smooth, contoured flow of lower side sheet metal.
